Emergency Medical Assistance Service Included Medical expertise available 24 hours a day , 365 days a year. The assistance service has experienced multi-lingual co-ordinators, who will , in liaison with your treating doctor or physician, decide the most suitable, practical and reasonable solution to your problem. This may include arranging further medical assistance or repatriation , depending upon medical criteria and your fitness to travel As per Section 7, below
1. Medical & Emergency Expenses £10,000,000 Emergency medical and other expenses (including emergency dental treatment - up to £200) incurred outside your home country. Transfer of your body or ashes to your home country or reasonable funeral expenses abroad ( up to £3,500). Reasonable additional travelling expenses incurred in returning home, as a result of an injury or illness to a close relative NOT travelling with you.

Daily benefit payable in the event of in-patient hospitalisation outside your home country.
*Any pre-existing medical condition unless cover has been agreed in writing and any additional premium paid. ( See Medical Screening Requirements).
*In-patient treatment (or Out-Patient treatment and related expenses over£500) unless this has been agreed by our 24 hour emergency assistance service.

2. Personal Accident £10,000 A cash sum for accidental bodily injury, loss of sight or limb(s) or permanent total disablement. *The Death benefit for persons under 16 is limited to £5,000.
*Certain hazardous activities.
3. Personal Liability £2,000,000 Cover for compensation you become legally liable to pay for accidents which cause:-
Death or Bodily injury.
Loss or damage to property.
Cover is not provided for:-
*Injury to your employees, family or travelling companions.
*Property belonging to, or in the custody of, you, a family member or person in your service.
*Your trade, business or profession.
*Claims arising from your use, ownership or possession of any motorised or mechanically propelled watercraft or sailing vessel.
4. Activity Equipment (own) £1,000 Cover in respect of loss or damage of your own activity equipment. As per Section 6
Loss or damage to any motorised mechanically propelled or horse drawn vehicle, any aircraft, motorised or mechanically propelled watercraft or sailing vessel.
Single Article Limit £400    
Delayed Equipment (over 12 hours) £200 Hire of essential items if yours are delayed.  
Equipment Hire £200 If your own equipment is lost or damaged during your trip. Expenses that would have been incurred during the normal course of your trip.
5. Legal Expenses £25,000 Cover for legal costs in pursing a claim against a third party who caused your injury or illness. Cover is not provided for claims against Underwriters, Insurer or Insurers Agents.
6. Baggage, Personal Effects, Money and Documents £1,500 Cover for the loss or damage of your own personal effects. No cover will be provided for:-
* Property left unattended away from your locked trip accommodation.
* Property left unattended in a motor vehicle, except between 6.00am and 11.00pm when it is in a locked boot and entry was gained by forcible means.
* Proof of purchase/ownership of lost or stolen items will be required.
* All losses should be reported to the police and a report obtained.
* A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) should be obtained and purchase receipts provided for Baggage delay claims.
* No cover will be provided unless reasonable care for the safety/supervision of the property is taken.

7. Loss of Deposit , Cancellation and Curtailment £3,000* Reimbursement of deposits paid and forfeited for unused travel and accommodation costs if the booked holiday/trip is necessarily and unavoidably cancelled or curtailed as a result of:-
Accident or illness of insured person, close relative, business associate, travelling companion or person you intended staying with;
Compulsory quarantine, jury service or witness in a court of law; qualifying redundancy, withdrawal of Armed Forces leave, or serious damage to your home.
* Cancellation due to illness or injury, unless supported by a certificate from a medical practitioner confirming the need to cancel.
* Repatriation/Curtailment costs are not covered unless the Emergency Medical Assistance Service has been notified and cover agreed.
* Any pre-existing health condition unless cover has been agreed in writing and any additional premium paid (See page 2 of your Insurance Policy for details of Medical Screening).
* Failure to obtain the required passport/visa.
* Travelling against the advice or recommendations of the British Foreign & Commonwealth office.
* Disinclination to travel.

8. Unexpected Events Travel Disruption £1,000 Cover for additional travel & accommodation to reach your destination, outside your home country, as a result of delays due to failure of public transport, or your own vehicle breaking down or being involved in an accident. No cover is provided:-
* if you fail to check in correctly
* if you do not obtain written confirmation of the delay
* for circumstances already known about when the policy was purchased.
Travel Delay   Compensation for each 12 hours your booked transport is delayed on either your outward or return journey, or at your option , irrecoverable cancellation costs if your delay exceeds 12 hours on the outward journey

Event Excess
An event excess applies to certain sections of the policy and is deductible per claim for a single event or occurrence. The excess will be -
* £100 Medical and Emergency Expenses * £500 Search and Rescue * £50 Activity Equipment (own) * £50 Loss of Baggage, Money and Travel Documents.
* £100 Cancellation (all sections except loss of deposit claims only-£15) & Curtailment * £100 Unexpected Events (travel delay - Abandonment Only)  
A £200 excess will apply under Section 3 - Personal Liability, in respect of loss or damage to temporary holiday accommodation.

* Please note that increased excesses may apply under Section 1 - Medical & Emergency Expenses and Section 7 - Loss of Deposit, Cancellation & Curtailment as a result of your contact with the Medical Screening Line. Any increase will be confirmed to you in writing.
